Introduction
Cathy and Jacques Authie run this country-style Gîte d'étape. It is a newly developed barn conversion in the village of Montségur, at the foot of the château of Montségur and offers dormitary accomodation for groups and families. It has a open-plan farmhouse-style living and eating area with a large open fireplace.

Local attractions

The Château of Montségur is a short walk away and the village lays on the intersection of several major trans-pyrenean footpaths.

The Ski resort of Monts d'Olmes is a short drive away and Montségur is an ideal base for the resort. Out of the ski season the resort is a centre for Mountain biking and hiking.

The forests around Montségur are full of wildlife and have stunning scenery, short walks are signposted and guides are avilable for longer treks.

Village attractions

The Village has many attractions and is a interesting place to explore, day or night. There is a Museum, bookshop, gift shop, Cafes, Resteraunt, view points...

Accommodation
The dormitary area has 5 double beds, proviosions for cots and small beds, 2 WCs and 2 washrooms with shower.

The large communal dining and living room has a kitchen and open fire place and is perfect for relaxing after a long day of cycling, hiking or driving.

Facilities

	Paddocking for horses, donkies, camels, alpacas and lamas is available in a private paddock close to the Gîte. Overnight stabling is also available.
	Barbeque facilities are available and barbeque d'hôte can be arranged if you want to relax and let someone else do the cooking
	Workshop facilities and equipment are available for car, bike and horse repairs, and a helping hand is always available.
	Picnic baskets are availabe and reservations for evening meals can be made at Costes Restaurant.

Location
The Al Pitchou Parfait Gîte d'étape is situated midway along the lower road of the village at Number 125 le village

Montségur is situated a few miles south of Lavelanet, close to Foix and the A66 to Andora

Cost and charges

12 euros per person per night, including tax
