Events at Montségur in 2006


Samedi 3 juin 2006: 21 heures en l'église

Sur les chemins de Saint Jacques : Concert de guitare par le groupe espagnol Entre dos Mares .
Compositions originales de José Ignacio HERNANDEZ TOQUERO sur le thème des pèlerins des Chemins de Saint Jacques de Campostelle.

Dimanche 11 juin 2006 : Journée de la Pêche.

Pour les enfants : Initiation à la pêche en eau douce au bord du Lasset (lieu-dit Courtaluc), avec lâcher de truites. Les lignes sont mises à disposition des enfants.
Organisé par l'Association Agréée pour la Pêche et la Protection du Milieu Aquatique en Pays d'Olmes.

Jeudi 13 juillet 2006 : 21 heures en l'église

Les choristes chez nous : Concert par la chorale des Petits Chanteurs de Saint André de Colmar, chorale de renommée internationale s'étant produite partout en Europe et aux Etats-Unis. Manécanterie alsacienne d'une cinquantaine de choristes, en tournée dans le sud de la France, sera de passage à Montségur pour nous interpréter des chants sacrés et profanes et des gospels.

Samedi 5 et dimanche 6 août, fête du village

Samedi 5 :
- 19 h 30, repas traditionnel (renseignements et inscriptions au 05 61 03 03 03)
- 22 h : bal avec l'orchestre David CORRY

Samedi 5 et dimanche 6 août, fête du village

Dimanche 6 :
- 11 h : messe et hommage aux morts des deux guerres
- 12 h 15, à la Fontaine d'Orjac : apéritif musette offert par la municipalité
- 14 h 30 : concours de pétanque (doublettes)
- 22 h : bal avec l'orchestre Midi Ambiance Musette

FEU DE LA SAINT JEAN
Summer solstice festivals in many villages between the 21st and the end of June. Usually features a band, dancing, outdoor evening meal, and the setting ablaze of a tall stack of branches placed around a pole.

A non-competitive cycling event covering 165.30 km and 3625 m altitude change departing from Tarascon.

REFUGE DES ESTAGNOUS - RESERVE DU MONT VALIER
every Friday evening in July and August
FESTIVALIER
Evenings of music, song, dance and storytelling at the walkers' refuge on the Mont Valier reserve. Like you, the performers climb up to the refuge on foot (3 hour walk). Show and overnight in with half-board 32 € --reservation essential. Info

LE CHEMIN DE LA LIBERTE
Walkers cross the Pyrenees into Spain following the route taken by downed allied pilots and refugees fleeing the Nazis during WWII. Departure from St Girons and Seix. Many of the participants are descendents of the pilots who made this trek.

MEMORIAL FABIO CASARTELLI
Cycling event with 2 cycletourism circuits and one cyclosportif
This event commemorates the fatal accident in 1995 of the Tour de France rider Fabio Casartelli during a stage between St Girons and Cauterets. His family created a foundation to aid victims of cycling accidents. Since 1997 a local association has organised this event with the agreement of the Casartelli family and the profits are donated to the foundation.
